Psalm 47 — The Yeti Version

He’s king over everything! Let the music ring.

This psalm appears to be written mid-party for God. I picture a military themed parade just finishing, and the organizer for the parade shouting to keep it going. For a reliable translation, please see the ESV version.

Everyone, get pumped for God!

Jesus deserves to be revered as the greatest king.

He conquered nations!

He gave us our homeland, which was chosen by our ancestor Jacob (whom God loves by the way).

We just threw a big parade for God as he left to go to the top of some mountain.

Let’s keep the party rolling! Keep singing songs to God, our king!

Their royalty, their leaders come around Jesus just like believers. The greatest defenses on earth all belong to King Jesus!
